EMCI sets certification standers for the EMCI Registered (associate) Yachtbroker® and the EMCI Registered Yachtbrokerage Company®. The EMCI certification for yachtbrokers is recognized by the Dutch Association for Certified and Sworn Yacht- and Shipbrokers (www.nbms.nl ), by the Friesland Bank (www.frieslandbank.nl ), by the Cape Town Boatbuilding & Technology Initiative (CTBI / www.ctbi.co.za ) and by the South African Boatbuilders Export Council (SABBC / www.sabbex.co.za).  All EMCI yachtbrokers and yachtbrokerage companies can be found in our public register at this EMCI website. The EMCI Registered (associate) yachtbroker is active as sales and purchase broker and as appraisor; both exclusively for the non commercial shipping branch. Non commercial shipping is understood to mean: leisure boating, pleasure craft boating, motor yachts, sailing yachts.
EMCI sets separate certification standers for:
  • Broker barges and house boats (EMCI Registered Broker Barges & House Boats®)
  • Shipbroker (EMCI Registered Shipbroker®)
